Coral Swimwear recently launched their Holiday 2018 collection named “Malibu” which is composed of vintage-inspired suits with a modern day twist!
Coral Swimwear is a brand that is very close to my heart because itt was one of the first brands to ever directly hire me as a makeup artist.
I was referred to the owners, Pat & Margaux, by a friend (a friend of a friend, actually) for the launching collection of Coral’s new sister brand, Pearl Clothing. At that point, I’ve only been a full-time makeup artist for a couple of months and didn’t have that much experience when it comes to dealing with brands or corporate clients. Needless to say — I was terrified! And I got so in my head and nearly backed out when I found out that the owners were going to model for the collection themselves. I was 100% sure I was going to screw this up.
Luckily, what I thought was going to be a recipe for disaster turned out to be the start of something beautiful.
Pat & Margaux were wonderful and so easy to work with. Both of them are young moms & entrepreneurs whose vision was to create items of clothing that were fashionable and functional. Their clothes are designed in a way that they could be worn by women in different stages of their lives–particularly throughout motherhood.
I found their mission to be so admirable and inspiring. And as a young woman who’s still figuring life out and also struggling with a myriad of body and image issues, I wanted to be a part of this movement so bad. You can only imagine how thrilled I was when they called me again after a couple of months for their Holiday 2017 shoot. I honestly still get kilig whenever they I receive messages from them for upcoming shoots.
Working with this brand and their team of intelligent & empowered women has truly been a dream come true for me, and I’m looking forward to continue working with them in the years to come.
