Hi! I’m Iya and I’ve been a full-time makeup artist since 2016. ♡

Background

I was born and raised in Quezon City and I graduated with a Tourism Management degree from the University of the Philippines – Diliman.

My initial career path was in Marketing, but after spending 4 years in the corporate world, I decided to take the leap and pursue a career in makeup artistry.

Makeup Training

In 2016, I enrolled in HD Makeup Studio & Academy’s ‘HD Beauty & Fashion Makeup Course” under internationally-trained hair & makeup artists, Sir Jeave Gabiana and Ms. Stephanie Chua-Sing.

After my formal makeup training, I had the privilege of apprenticing to celebrity makeup artist, Rick Calderon.

Makeup Style

I’ve always been a proponent of natural-looking makeup. I lean towards using subtle and corrective makeup techniques instead of using makeup to drastically alter and transform the face.

My goals are to make every makeup session an enjoyable and stress-free experience; and to enhance my clients’ features to turn them into a more radiant version of themselves.
